Tasting Notes: Strawberry Cream, Rose Hips, & White Chocolate Mousse
Description: This grade 1 natural hails from the Yirgacheffe region of Ethiopia, and it is processed at the Konga sun-drying station from neighboring smallholder farms in the Konga village. Grade 1 is the highest quality offered in Ethiopia, and as such, only ripe cherries are selected and meticulously sorted to reduce defect. This cup is vibrant and complex, while also being delicate, airy, and well balanced. On the front end, you pick up on notes of strawberry cream, rose hips, and a tinge of blueberry. The mouthfeel is very creamy, alongside it's surprising medium body. This is accompanied by notes of walnut and orange zest. It finishes incredibly smooth, with notes of matcha, black tea, and sweet white chocolate mousse. The note of strawberry cream really carries through as it cools, and lingers pleasantly on the palate.
Shelf Life: An unopened bag will remain tasty for five months due to our processes and packaging. We remove most of the oxygen from each bag during our packaging process and replace it with food-grade nitrogen to lovingly cradle these precious beans for a long time. We use the highest quality bags with one-way valves to retain the low-oxygen environment we create and allow our coffee to off-gas naturally.
