Description: Grown by smallholders, generally with an average of 200 trees each, who delivered their freshly picked, ripe cherries to cooperative wet mills. This Kenya Lenana was disc pulped, fully fermented and washed. Then, sundried on elevated drying tables. We love this Kenyan coffee! The cup begins with just a touch of brightness and a subtle note of baked blackberries. Soon thereafter, you pick up on slightly sweet, smoky notes of roasted fig. This coffee has a very rich body, accompanied by notes of molasses and brown sugar. The finish is very smooth, with a lingering flavor that calls back to the blackberry and roasted fig, as well as a touch of caramel. This coffee also makes a superb cold brew!
