Region: Shentawane, Bombe, & Sidamo
Process: Natural
Tasting Notes: Blueberry, Lavender, & Natural Wine
Description: This grade 1 natural hails from the Sidamo region of Ethiopia. Grade 1 is the highest quality offered in Ethiopia, and as such, only ripe cherries are selected and meticulously sorted to reduce defect. This cup is rich and complex, while also being delicate, airy, and well balanced. On the front end, you pick up on notes of blueberry and lavender. The mouthfeel is very creamy and coating, alongside it's light delicate body. It finishes incredibly smooth, with a strong note of sweet wine. The notes of berry and cream gradually decays as it cools, and lingers pleasantly on the palate with a subtle touch of acidity.
Shelf Life: An unopened bag will remain tasty for five months due to our processes and packaging. We remove most of the oxygen from each bag during our packaging process and replace it with food-grade nitrogen to lovingly cradle these precious beans for a long time. We use the highest quality bags with one-way valves to retain the low-oxygen environment we create and allow our coffee to off-gas naturally.
