Description: This coffee hails from the Santa Rosa de Cabal, Risaralda region of Colombia. Located in the central foothills of the Andes Mountains within the Risaralda Department, Finca La Riviera’s young soil is enriched with nutrients from the relatively recent eruptions of nearby volcanoes. The wide thermal range of the microclimate reaches up to 30ºC in the daytime and can drop to 15ºC in the evening, allowing coffee cherries to develop complex and unique flavors. This shows nicely with this light roast and is a favorite here in the shop at the moment. On the front end you pick up on notes of white peach and a touch of watermelon. The body is light medium and juicy, accompanied by a creamy mouthfeel and notes of banana walnut custard, along side a subtle note of coconut cream. The finish is smooth and floral, with lingering notes of wildflower. Get it while it's around, because it won't be for long!
