Description: This natural processed Crown Jewel coffee hails from Wenago, Ethiopia. It is organically grown by farmer Wolde Hirbe and his family, as a special agreement between the Yirgacheffe Coffee Farmer’s Cooperative Union and Royal Coffee. This Crown Jewel is roasted light, and produces an incredibly complex cup that is sure to please. This cup starts off bright and sweet, with notes of white peach, strawberry, and passionfruit. The acidity is wild and juicy, but not sour or overpowering. This is quickly followed by notes of lilac, marigold, and a touch of sage. Combined with its light, white tea like body, it produces a very creamy mouthfeel. It finishes very smooth, and lingers pleasantly on the palate. As it cools, it evolves into notes of blueberry, brown butter, and sage, all the while remaining very smooth and equally enjoyable. An ever changing cup that will not disappoint. We highly recommend this as a pour over. Over extract this coffee a bit and it will really let those berry notes, floral notes, and delicate sweetness shine.
