Description: THIS COFFEE IS ANOTHER IN OUR LINE OF ROTATING PREMIUM COFFEES, AND IS VERY LIMITED. GET IT WHILE YOU CAN!
This is a blend of natural processed Ethiopian coffees from various smallholders. We named this blend Erta Ale, after the continuously active basaltic shield volcano in the Afar region of northeastern Ethiopia. Erta Ale has the longest-existing lava lake, and is one of only eight volcanos in the world to hold a lava lake, Enough about volcanos, lets get into the taste of this incredibly complex cup. On the front end, you immediately pick up on all the complex notes of fruit. Including blueberry juice, strawberry jam, and pear. The acidity is bright, but not in your face. This cup has a tea like body, like that of white tea or green tea. Along side its creamy body, you get notes of hibiscus, rose, and even a subtle note of carrot cake. There's also a very subtle note of grape hard candy on the back end. This cup finishes smooth, with a lingering note of graham cracker, as well as a touch of that nice acidity from the front end. This has quickly become a shop favorite, so get it while you can!
