Description: Kossa Geshe is located in Western Ethiopia’s Limmu Kossa District, in the highlands of the Kebena Forest. This 1,000 hectare farm was established in 2009 as a land grant from Ethiopia’s investment agency to safeguard some of the last remaining dense forest in the country. We haven't been this excited about an Ethiopia is a while, and we're very excited to share it with you! The nose is berry forward, creamy, and floral. This translates extremely well in taste, as on the front end, you pick up on notes of strawberry cream, marigold, and a hint of salted caramel. The body is light medium, accompanied by a very soft and creamy mouthfeel. As well as notes of lavender honey, roasted pecan, black cherry, and plum syrup. The finish is extremely smooth and has a lingering note of raspberry tea biscuit.
Shelf Life: An unopened bag will remain tasty for five months due to our processes and packaging. We remove most of the oxygen from each bag during our packaging process and replace it with food-grade nitrogen to lovingly cradle these precious beans for a long time. We use the highest quality bags with one-way valves to retain the low-oxygen environment we create and allow our coffee to off-gas naturally.
