Description: This coffee is produced by small legacy farmers in the high mountains of Yemen’s northwestern Sa’adah Governorate, who together comprise a grower coalition called the Khulani Coffee Society for Agricultural Development (KCSAD). This cup is tea like and wonderfully complex. It starts off with a subtle white grape acidity that opens up as it cools, with notes of strawberry crusted baklava, roasted almonds, and banana bread. Soon after, you pick up on notes of raspberry honey and a marigold floralness that melts into its light medium body, accompanied by notes of black tea. It has a subtly earthy, yet smooth finish, with a subtle note of molasses that balances out its soft, white grape acidity.
Shelf Life: An unopened bag will remain tasty for five months due to our processes and packaging. We remove most of the oxygen from each bag during our packaging process and replace it with food-grade nitrogen to lovingly cradle these precious beans for a long time. We use the highest quality bags with one-way valves to retain the low-oxygen environment we create and allow our coffee to off-gas naturally.
